The Flying Hippo Technologies Limited ("Matrixport.HK" or the “Company”) requires clients to pass the "Basic Verification" by providing their ID documents and a liveness facial image. The ID documents the Company currently accepts are:

• Hong Kong:  Valid Hong Kong ID cards, or Hong Kong passports;
• Other jurisdictions:  Valid passports.

Please note that the Matrixport.HK may request the clients to further provide other supporting ID documents, e.g., passports, in the circumstances that trigger our concerns that the clients are located in the restricted jurisdictions. 

The examples are:

• Client uses non-HK permanent ID for basic verification but his/her employment information shows that he/she works in a restricted jurisdiction.
• Client uses non-restricted jurisdictions ID documents for basic verification but his/her employment information shows that he/she works in a restricted jurisdiction.
• Client is identified as high AML risk and the Company performs enhanced due diligence (EDD) on the client.

Matrixport.HK will determine the necessity of obtaining supporting documents from the clients on a case by case basis.
